The Lost Canvases of the 1950s
Many of Judith Lindbloom’s early works on canvas are lost, or remain unaccounted for. Some may still be in the possession of the original recipients or their descendants; others may have been destroyed. The snapshots on this page were all taken by Lindbloom as a means of documenting these pieces at the time of creation. While it's unfortunate that the photos are in black and white, leaving us to imagine what the paintings would’ve looked like in full vibrant color, we’re lucky to have a window — however obscured — into her early work.
